Your girth is a very important accessory to your saddle for the wellbeing of your horse. As you know horses are all individuals as we are and are different shapes and sizes. Girth placement is very important, for example if your horse has a forward placed seat of girth and a straight girth is used the girth will find itself further forward and with this pull the girth straps at an angle forwards causing the saddle to move forwards, becoming unstable which then encroaches on the horses shoulders causing restriction into the back of the shoulder blades, the shoulder blades end up pushing the saddle left and right which can cause a criss cross effect at the back of the saddle against or even directly over the horses spine! Needless to say it can cause a huge amount of problems.
If your horse has a wide barrel but narrows to the girth area this can cause the same issue as above that your horses barrel can push the girth forward causing the same effect. Therefore it is so very important to consider which girth combination you use.

Fantastic girth! Finally stopped my saddle slippage woes! Much tougher elastic than most girths, so avoids that extra give that you get when you least want it, or the temptation to over tighten….looks super smart to boot!!!
